Painting Leaves

First of all, I want to apologize for the quality of these photos. They are dark. It's already dark when I get home from work and it's hard to get a good photo of a dark wall. The wall doesn't show up this dark when you're there, but with lighting and all.... Difficult.

I have been working on the shading of the leaves on my mural. They needed to be fleshed out and shaded to give them depth.
It's hard to know when to stop working on them. When to say, this leaf? She is done!

And I have to work on it and walk away to look at it from different angles, different lighting. Just to decide if it looks good or not.
I have totally restarted leaves. Just been frustrated with the coloring and painted right over it.

Here's one of my 'final' leaf sections. I finished these up last night.
They earned a stamp of approval.

The top third is the only section that I need to finish working on. For now....

Next up, an owl on the left mid branch and a moon on the adjoining wall. I also plan to throw some leaves across the wall, mid flight with some wind. Haven't figured that one out entirely, but...

The quality of the photos don't need to be good to tell that the painting is beautiful!! I love all those rich colors! Thank you for sharing!

AWESOME. I love that you plan some flying leaves, too. And an owl? Get out. :-) That's going to be so cool. I really love this, Jen. It's gorgeous.

I really love owls. But it's whimsical, so it may belike blue and purple with bright pink accents. With overly large eyes.

I'm excited and a little worried about it. :)
